RUNA Receives Post-Production Support from Western Norway Film Fund
The feature film RUNA has received post-production funding from Western Norway Film Fund. The support comes at a crucial stage, as the film now moves into the next phase of post-production.
RUNA is a Norwegian thriller drama set in a distant future, centering on the relationship between a father and his daughter – and on what happens when trust begins to fracture.
A father and his daughter live in seemingly peaceful harmony, surrounded by a threatening Norwegian forest landscape in the distant future. Runa is a proud daughter, and her father's word is her law. But suddenly, cracks begin to appear in the reality she knows, forcing her to question everything she has believed.
The film is produced by Fjord Productions AS, with Halfdan Hallseth as producer, in collaboration with Viljar Bøe and Sleazemania AS. Hanne Catrine Andersen directs the film, with Isabel Furhovde as screenwriter. Furhovde and Hallseth also star in the leading roles as Runa and Vard.
The film was primarily shot in Bjørnafjorden, Western Norway, with the Norwegian landscape playing a central role in the film's visual and dramatic universe. The production is now working towards picture lock, after which the remaining stages of post-production will be completed, including sound post-production that will play a vital part of the project.
“The support from Western Norway Film Fund means a great deal to us. We have now reached a phase where the final pieces are coming together, and this funding gives the project an important boost as we move through post-production. It is also a great recognition to know that Western Norway Film Fund believes in the film and our team,” says producer and lead male actor Halfdan Hallseth.
The production would like to extend its sincere thanks to Western Norway Film Fund, consultant Klara Nilsson Grunning, and outgoing Managing Director Stine Tveten for their support and belief in the project.
RUNA is currently in post-production, with the team now working towards picture lock before completing the final stages of post-production.
